Take Action to Oppose HB 60
HB 60 – For over 40 years, New Hampshire law has protected renters from arbitrary evictions. HB 60 threatens to remove these protections by allowing landlords to evict tenants without providing a reason when their lease ends. This is known as a “no-cause eviction.”
The House Housing Committee will hold a public hearing on HB 60 on Tuesday, January 21 at 10 am at the Legislative Office building in Room 305.

- HB 60 increases housing instability.
- No-cause evictions put allGranite State renters at risk, and the consequences can be particularly harmful for older adults.
- New Hampshire’s existing tenant protections need to be maintained to safeguard older adults who are the fastest-growing age group among the unhoused population.
Take Action to Support HB 259
HB 259 – This bill is helps older adults with mobility limitations by permitting the Department of Motor Vehicles to issue a handicap license plate and placard for each motor vehicle owned by a person with a walking disability. T on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the Legislative Office Building Room 203.

Take Action to Oppose HB 348
HB 348 – Individuals in financial need who apply for local assistance from a town or city would be required to show proof of having resided in the municipality for up to 90 days prior to applying for assistance.
The House Municipal and County Government Committee will hold a public hearing on Thursday, January 23 at 11:15 at the Legislative Office Building Room 301-303.

- Older adults are the fastest-growing age group among the unhoused population.
